Technically this is not the most complicated work I’ve done but I like how the inspiration for it came out. I was starting to draw a character, had no idea who or what. I was just recreating what I saw in my head. Then when I got to the hands I thought about hand tracings, then hand prints with hand tracings. In my head it turned into “Go cover your hand with paint and slap it down on some paper”. So I did. I’m proud of this work, not for the technical merit or it’s creativity, but because I did it when the idea hit me.

We should all do that more often.
