Imagine you are exploring your new home. It is at least a century old. You notice there is too much space between two rooms and you decide to figure out why, but in doing so you discover a room that has been walled off by a previous owner. What did you find?
- Let your imagination go wild.
- Make it fun or make it a mystery.
- Tell a short story.
- You have all week.
- Have Fun.
Bonus: Come back and vote for your favorite on Friday. I’ll add a link then.

Every line of business has their own acronyms. We all use them everyday and sometimes say a complete sentence with just acronyms. Why? Does it makes it easier or faster to communicate? Probably but my favorite are acronyms that actually spell out a word. LIKE:
S.H.I.E.L.D. Supreme Headquarters International Espionage Law-Enforcement Division (Marvel comics)
M.A.D.D. Mothers Against Drunk Driving
D.A.R.T. Disaster Animal Response Team
S.W.A.T. Special Weapons And Tactics
This assignment will be to create an acronym with the following rules:
- Use a day of the week or a season. (The acronym has to contain this choice)
- It has to spell a real word.
- It has to be at least 4 letters.
- Keep it clean.
- Have Fun!
Example: W.E.A.K. – Wednesdays Even Annoy Kids
Bonus: Create an acronym from your first name.

I love this list. I think everyone should print it out and keep it by your desk or computer. Pick one at random and try to answer it.
50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind
- Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster?
- Have you been the kind of friend you want as a friend?
- Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton?
- Why are you, you?

We try to ease the scariness of thunder by saying that someone in heaven is bowling. Now explain Daylight Savings Time to me the same way? I don’t want the real answer, I want the most creative fantastic story you can come up with, but I want to believe it too. Why do we need it, why do we do it?
Have Fun!
Bonus: Why doesn’t Arizona observe DST?

Draw 160
The class of 10 drew 160 images in about 5 minutes. How it works: you would get the cartoon grid and read all 16 of the boxes. Pick your favorite to draw and then, when finished drawing, pass it to the left, to the next student cartoonist. The 10 pieces of paper went around the circle of hardworking cartoonists until all of the grids were filled in.

I think I would love to try this exercise with a group of artist. It’s been some time since I was in a classroom and I don’t expect to be in one soon, but at my next brainstorm meeting I think this would be fun to try.

Since this is coming out on a Thursday I thought I would make it real easy and simple. What would creep you out? Take something from real life, something average and make it scary or creepy.
As an example, a clown appearing out your door with balloons may be odd but that same clown appearing at your door at midnight is creepy x 10.
Bonus: What scene from any movie still gives you chills when you think about it?
