Tastes just like the movie.

I think it is safe to assume we all have our favorite candy or better yet a candy bar. If I’m at the store, I have a tough time turning down anything with the word Reece’s on it.

It’s a Brand thing! I know it will have that peanut butter flavor that I love, but what if we took that brand identity thing in a different direction? What if we used something besides an established candy company brand on the name of a NEW candy bar you invent?

Pick one of the following for your Candy Bar Brand:
  • a movie
  • a novel
  • a TV show
  • a sports team
  • a comic book
  • a non candy company
Simple rules:
  • Try to tie in an element of the choice you made.
    • Taste
    • Color
    • Ingredients
    • etc.
  • It can be an existing candy bar with a name change but give a reason why it fits with the brand.
  • Have fun!

Bonus: Try any of the Reece’s candy bars and write a quick review.

Feeling a little patriotic today!

You have to laugh at the song. This was IT when it came to Marvel Superheroes on TV when I was a kid. What was considered broadcast worthy animation then could be done now with $100 worth of software and a computer. The only really thing cool about these cartoons was they used the original art and stories from the comics.

People 1-100 in order

Great video showing people from 1-100. Does it make you feel like you are aging as it goes on?

Painting

photo

Had a chance to pick up a paintbrush that wasn’t for painting a room. Water, Acrylic paint, and a little sandpaper.

Da Vinci while painting would stimulate all his other senses with fine wine, strong cheeses, and violin music. I had beer, Cheez-its, and the Beastie Boys. Kick It!

“The plan is quite simple really…”

Watch any movie when the evil villain has the hero captured and in some sort of death trap that is inescapable. The villain starts to dialogue. They spill their entire evil plan, then the hero escapes, then uses the knowledge of the plan to thwart the villain’s plan. Queue theme song and Role credits.

What is your evil villain name, and what is your plan to take over the world?

  • Make it serious or
  • Make it silly
  • Make it happen, just kidding.
  • Have fun?

Bonus: What is the evil death trap you have for your enemy/hero?

Where Does Creativity Come From?

lego mania

After walking around the MoMA today I was wondering where creativity comes from and what drives humans to create. This article just touches on the possible answer and a possible way to rejuvenate creative energy in all of us. Try new things, experiment, and make a mess. You’ll never know what you’ll find.

One thing that sets humans apart from other animals is the intensity of the human drive to create new and different things. While other creatures may come up with novel solutions to solve problems, humans are unique in actively going out to create problems solely for the pleasure of solving them!

Movies I need to see just because…

Legion
The creepy screaming wide mouthed creatures freak me out.

Clash of the Titans
So it’s a remake of a movie I would think no one would want to remake, but since they did I’ll go see this so I can hate it.

Daybreakers
Love the concept, vampires are top of the food chain. As it should be.

Iron Man 2

It’s Nerf or Nothing!

Given the choice between Nerf or Nothing I find in most instances I would choose Nerf or be very bored. That seemed too easy, so I started thinking about examples or choices where I would prefer Nothing to having to pick Nerf.

  • What toppings do you want on your pizza, Nerf or Nothing? NOTHING
  • Would you like to be buried under a ton of Nerf or Nothing? NOTHING

Can you think of more? Try to think of an instances for each of these options when choosing between Nerf or Nothing.

  • You have to  pick Nerf.
  • You would pick Nothing.
  • It doesn’t matter if it is Nerf or Nothing.

Have Fun!

Bonus: If you could replace something in your world with Nerf what would it be?
