A brand new year

Happy new year!

Most of us make new year resolutions and we try our hardest to keep them. This should be easy because most of you have thought about this already. So it would be real easy for me to just say make up a crazy new year resolution. I wouldn’t want it to be easy.

Here is the assignment:

  • Pick a famous person living or dead.
  • Make up a new year’s resolutions for that person.
  • Have Fun!

Bonus: Do as many as you can?

Rudolf the Red Nosed Rein Fear!!!

This exercise is in honor of the Tim Burton exhibit at the MoMA . He created a holiday classic with the movie “The Nightmare Before Christmas”.  I love how he put a Halloween spin on the Christmas holiday. I’m sure it is no surprise he was a fan of B horror movies. So following his example I want you to take any holiday song and turn it into a Horrible Horror movie title.

  • Use any holiday song
  • You can use the lyrics from the title or any part of the song.
  • Have fun!

Bonus: Give a brief movie plot.

Like Sand Through the Hour Glass

We all know how to tell time, or at least we should. We look at where the big hand is, where the little hand is, what numbers each point at and how they relate to each other. All this tells us what time it is. Sounds complicated yet we all figured it out.

Like it or not it is the system we have, but what if it wasn’t. I want you to take 15 minutes out of your day and try to figure out a brand new way to tell the passage of time. Here are some rules.

  • No Numbers
  • No Hands
  • No digital Display
  • Have fun.

Bonus: Draw a picture of your device and include a link to it.
